Event Services

Event Services is the centralized office for Mount Mercy University events. We coordinate the scheduling of all University facilities for events, meetings, conferences and public functions.

Guidelines for Faculty Use

Catering

  • Our Catering Manager is Nathan Walker and can be reached at nwalker@gxitma.net or 319-366-5296.
  • Aramark only
  • No outside food brought in, No exceptions.

External Clients

  • All external client events will be carefully considered, as our student or employee hosted events take priority.

Contact Event Services

We partner with the campus community and public to create the highest quality events that promote University initiatives. Our dedicated team assists and advises for event planning, logistical coordination, facility layout, final implementation, and audio/visual support.

The Events Services office is located in Sisters of Mercy University Center UC 240 and the staff is happy to assist you with the planning of your events.

Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday-Friday.

Available Spaces

Our CRST International Graduate Center is off-site of our main campus. It has a welcoming entry with the large multi-purpose Pruss Conference Center we can set up for your needs. Multiple classrooms can also be reserved for break-out rooms or smaller conferences.

We also have a variety of facilities on our main campus. Betty Cherry Heritage Hall can be used for large banquets or conferences and utilize our two newly updated projectors and projection screens

Our other facilities include Flaherty Community Room in Basile Hall, Donnelly 300 and 301, and the new Wente Education Center, featuring large classrooms with new technology for presentations.

We also have conference rooms, computer labs, McAuley Auditorium and the Chapel of Mercy.
